- Give you a personal tour of the office
- Review your dental and medical history forms
- Provide a complete dental exam, with photos
- Determine whether treatment is necessary
- Discuss general financial information
- If needed, obtain diagnostic records (X-ray and impressions for study models) to create a customized treatment plan
Our team will be glad to answer any questions you may have and we will provide all of the information that you need to determine which treatment is right for you. Please contact our practice to schedule your initial examination.
What happens after the initial examination?
You're one step closer to achieving the smile you've always wanted! After your initial examination, we will schedule your formal consultation where:
- The doctor will review your customized treatment plan
- Our financial coordinator will discuss final financial information, insurance options, and payment plans
- Future appointments needed to start treatment will be scheduled
Orthodontic treatment is a process where multiple visits are needed. Thus, it is it is important to set up the appointments according to the doctor’s recommendation to progress with treatment efficiently. Braces adjustments are typically about every four to eight weeks. Our scheduling coordinators will work with you to make sure your appointments are as convenient as possible and to minimize waiting time.
We understand that “life happens”! If you're running late or need to reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible so we can keep you on track to finishing your treatment on time.
Visiting the Dentist During Orthodontic Treatment
It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six months, even during your orthodontic treatment, for teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure that you are receiving the best care possible.
