Retainers

Clear Plastic Retainers

  • Retainers are used to maintain the alignment of your teeth
  • Wear your retainer every night, until the doctor instructs otherwise
  • Clean your retainer thoroughly once a day with a toothbrush. Only use warm water. Brushing the retainer removes the plaque, and eliminates the odors.
  • When retainers are not in your mouth they should ALWAYS be in a retainer case. Pets love to chew them!
  • Your retainer is breakable, so treat them with care. If your retainer is lost or broken please call our office immediately.
  • Always bring your retainer to your appointments.
  • Retainer replacement is expensive…..with proper care they will last longer!
  • Keep your retainer away from hot water, hot car dashboards, pockets, the washing machine, and napkins.
